Day One: Uncover Your True Self to Find Optimal Health

Ayurveda, an ancient yet timeless medical science, provides the means of maintaining and optimizing your health. The benefits of Ayurvedic medicine have been proven over centuries of use, and its methodologies remain just as effective today as they were in the past. Learn how to balance your health and life by understanding Ayurveda and uncovering your unique constitutional make-up.

Day Two: Dinacharya, the Pathway to Maintaining Harmony in Your Body

Learn Ayurveda’s fundamental approach to a daily routine so that you may reach the state of balance in your whole being—body, mind, and spirit—that is uniquely right for your dosha. This session will cover Ayurvedic daily practices, herbal formulations, cleansing methods, body care, yoga, meditation, and more.

Day Three: The Ayurvedic Diet: Nutrition Unique to You

Ayurveda is based on the belief that nothing is right for everyone and everything is right for someone. This belief comes from an understanding that each of us is unique. Each person reacts to the world and foods in different ways. If we are all different, why would we even consider the idea that there must be one program of nutrition that is best for every- one? In this class, you will learn which Ayurvedic dietary guidelines, spices, cooking methods, and dishes are best for you, along with the details of Ayurvedic cooking techniques and several recipes.

Daily Yoga - with Kallie Taylor

We will be working directly with the body’s innate vitality, through yoga postures, pranayama, and movements or functions of prana known as the vayus (winds).  Our life force, prana, is divided into five vayus.  Each Vayu has a different purpose and nature of being. This intelligence regulates our senses and aids in the clear manifestation of our higher selves. The postures (asanas) structure the body internally which reinforces the efficient work of all the vayus. Yoga is more than finding steadiness and ease in postures; it is the guiding of prana, the vital life force that enlivens all levels of being.

Dates: September 13th-15th, 2024
