Immersion & Course Overview

This 4-night retreat includes your stay, organic Ayurvedic meals and tea, daily yoga, and evening meditation. You’ll engage in 24 hours of immersive learning, with a printed and digital workbook, Ayurvedic class plans, video recordings, and an online exam. Earn 24 CE credits while rejuvenating your body, mind, and practice.

  • Part One of our series explores the foundational principles of Ayurveda, focusing on the five elements, three doshas, and vital essences, and their practical applications in yoga. This session will provide a deep understanding of how these ancient concepts shape physical and mental health, guiding you to design yoga sessions that balance doshas and enhance well-being. You’ll learn how the doshas influence individual constitution, the role of vital essences in maintaining life force, and how to integrate Ayurvedic wisdom into your teaching for a more effective, holistic approach to wellness.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR

Kathy Jo Stäheli,AD, AYT, PKT

Kathy Jo Stäheli, AD, AYT, PKT, began her yoga journey in 1996, completing her first teacher training and internship in traditional Hatha Yoga in 1998. With nearly 30 years of experience, she has advanced her practice in Ayurveda Yoga Therapy, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, and more. Trained in both the U.S. and India, Kathy Jo has served as a practitioner and global business manager for Kerala Ayurveda Academy. She has been actively involved with the National Ayurvedic Medical Association for nearly 12 years and currently chairs the Panchakarma Committee. Kathy Jo is dedicated to offering authentic Ayurvedic care and education to a global community.


Kallie Taylor,AHC, RYT

Kallie Taylor is a yoga instructor and Panchakarma Technician with extensive experience in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. As a skilled Panchakarma bodyworker at Purusha, she offers Ayurvedic therapies that support detoxification, nervous system regulation, and emotional healing. Kallie has also worked with individuals in addiction recovery, using yoga and Ayurveda as powerful tools for transformation. Deeply inspired by nature, the elements, and subtle energy, she integrates Ayurvedic philosophy and sound healing into her practice.

Our retreats take place in our peaceful desert sanctuary in the Greater Zion area, of southern Utah—where nature supports deep rest and renewal. Each offering is available on select dates with limited space.

    St. George Regional Airport is nearby with daily flights to Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City and Dallas. Las Vegas is less than a two-hour drive and affordable door-to-door shuttle service offered every hour. (St. George Shuttle or Salt Lake Express)

    WHAT TO EXPECT FOR WEATHER

    Situated where the Mojave Desert meets the Great Basin and the Colorado Plateau, this region boasts a distinct desert climate with clear skies, over 300 days of sunshine, mild winters, and warm summers. St. George lies at an elevation of 2,880 feet, rising to 10,000 feet in the neighboring Pine Valley Mountains. During winters, bring layered clothing, and for summers, opt for airy, lightweight fabrics. The majority of the year experiences temperate weather.
